Dark purple. Dry. Medium plus tannins. Med acid. 13.5% abv. Dark berries, plum. Ripe. A bit of that Douro funk that I’m looking for, but not quite there. Med plus body. Would do well with food. — 2 months ago
Here at Ventozelo. Opaque ruby red. Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca. Low tannin. Medium dry. Moderate complexity and moderately long finish. Moderate acidity. Easy drinking but holds your interest. — 3 months ago

Fruit forward and a bit sweet for my liking — 2 months ago
Deep purple, medium body and tannin, medium acidity. Well balanced. Blueberry, violets, wet slate, vanilla. Well balanced, light than other Douro blends I had in Portugal 🇵🇹. Remind me of Pinot Noir. Good wine, but not quite what I’m searching for. — 2 months ago
Touriga Nacional (40%), Touriga Franca (20%), Tinta Roriz (30%), Tinta Barroca (10%). Medium to deep purple. Medium body, medium tannin at most, medium acidity, dry. Some slight funk on the nose, in a very good way. Wet rocks, violets, light baking spices. Better after open for a day. Benchmark Duero for what I can find in the US so far. — 6 days ago
