On the nose it reminds me almost of nebbiolo but a tiny bit more fruity. Blood orange, strawberry, a tiny bit of oak, this is very inviting. The palate is extremely well balanced, there is acid, yes, but there is width and fruit, there is a drying layer of tannins in midpalate (not unlike the ones you can find in noble piemont niebbiolo wines) along with a soft, expanding mouthfeel, and there is a long finish with that drying layer, those nice fruit notes that linger for a long while. Vintage 2015 | it is só rewarding to cellar Xinomavro - this wine has gained finesse and complexity - flint and still beautiful fruit (despite Diam-cork). First day with duck pâté. Second day even better, paired with charcuterie and cheese. Pour in the biggest glasses available. — 6 months ago

Had the 2021 in November of 2025. Fantastic wine. Black cherry on the nose for sure. Hints of plum and very dry. Paired extremely well with Greek style baked beans and Greek meatballs in a rich tomato sauce. The hint of cinnamon in both dishes made this wine stand out. Hope to have again. — 7 months ago
