Popped and poured; no formal notes. As a long-time admirer of Laurence's Cuvée Réservée Rouge, this was my first time trying her Blanc. Admittedly, I have often struggled with white wines from the Rhône as they too often lack the acid I want. This is partly why I haven't made it a priority. However, I've had some very impressionable moments with well-aged Hermitage Blanc so I have remained open minded. Which leads me to this bottle of 2021 Cuvée Reservée Blanc; a blend of mostly Clairette with some Grenache blanc, Bourboulenc and a touch of Roussanne. From the very first smell, I was convinced that I had been clearly missing out. Beautifully perfumed with white flowers, cantaloupe, apricot and just a little citrus. This was so fresh, so sexy. It was equally sexy on the palate where all the notes were packaged in the most delightfully silky texture. The finish was long. It should be noted that we paired with rainbow trout, zucchini, summer squash topped with yuzu tobiko. This pairing slapped. Based off this experience, I would drink these now. That's not to say that they will be undrinkable with a few more years of age but I guess, why wait? The freshness is awesome and super compelling right now. — 3 years ago

Excellent with rainbow trout! Crisp and bright. — 4 months ago
Favorite of my daughter-in-law’s mother. Had to serve with a trout dinner. It did not disappoint, aromatic, fruity and smooth ($35). — 3 years ago
It’s all about the fruit here. A surprisingly light body, pale edges with deep ruby color, a nose of beautiful rose and candied hibiscus, with delicate, silky tannins, tart cherry with beautiful acidity and a delicate finish of raspberry and dry minerality that lingers long into the night. — 4 years ago
Lamy’s En Remilly is usually a wine I hold in higher regard, but this bottle was knocked back by a touch of… dare I say… premature oxidation. With Diam 30 and a thick white wax cap (plus a great track record), you can be sure this was again a function of bad cold chain in Malaysia. Sigh. Having said that, it was still a decent showing - loved the mineral saturation the wine displayed from start to finish. The nose was rich and still detailed with aromas of popcorn, wheat grain, iodine, pear, unripe pineapple, lanolin, and a tinge of mint as well as the dreaded oxidative musk. The palate was dense, saline, expectedly taut, and had a lovely texture that seemingly enveloped the tongue. The oxidative honey note was rather distracting in the finish, but a chill did help mask it. Actually superb with confited ocean trout, but I can’t help but feel robbed of the full enjoyment of this wine. — 4 years ago
Cherry, with a slightly dank, earthy, mushroom side. Acidity is right where I like it. Drinking so well! Recommended by my favorite somm ;) — 7 years ago
Always love this TG chard — 7 months ago
Nicely restrained nose, signature trout gulch. Lots of gentle dark fruit (i heard black raspberry and I agree), a touch of earth, subtle florals and slight tannic grip — 3 years ago
Lemon, minerals, Mellon. Went very well with rainbow trout onion, caraway and lemon sauce. — 5 years ago
Very unique and exciting wine to drink, clearly distinguishable from other Txakolis. Pale lemon color with aromas of white flesh fruits, citrus and floral scents. On the palate, apple, citrus and melon flavors with herb notes, floral and lively acidity. Smooth, easy drinking, went well with Rainbow Trout. Long finish ending with mineral notes. Grab this refreshing summer treat! — 6 years ago
