Pale ruby color- very translucent. Had to give this one a 30 min. decanting. Muted red fruit flavors, black olive, floral notes and earthy. The 10 years has given this some interesting flavors of cranberry, cherry, baking spices and a red fruit finish. — 5 months ago

Pale lemon yellow color with aromas of stone and citrus fruits, white blossom and bright mineral scents. On the palate wine has a lush texture with flavors of apple, pear, melon, citrus and vanilla notes, silky with a long finish ending with fruit, floral, spice and creamy mineral character. Very nice! In the heart of the Chianti lies Estate of Sette Ponti, 15 miles northwest of the city of Arezzo, past village of San Giustino Valdarno. Has 10% Merlot, aged in French Allier barriques, deep Ruby with red fruit aromas and floral notes. On the palate blackberry, plum and cherry flavors with blossom notes, spice and fine integrated tannins. Good balance, long finish ending with some oak and mineral tones. Nice! Will age a bit! On the palate flavors of apple and pear with a touch of zesty lemon, crisp, with nitty vanilla notes. Blend of blend of 60% Carricante, 25% Catarratto, 10% Grecanico and 5% Minnella, aged in French oak for 10 months. Pale lemon with aromas of stone and citrus fruits adding honeysuckle blossom. On the palate flavors of apple, apricot and lemon citrus with creamy vanilla wrapped in generous acidity, long finish ending with wet stone minerality. Nice! — 4 months ago

The ticket to this event has a pretty big price tag. But when you consider what a Napa etc. tasting or two and lunch would cost you, you are pretty much there and there is so much more than that. It ends up having great value. It’s wine, spirits and food candy land.
