The Shepherd Wines

Taittinger

Comtes de Champagne Brut Rosé 2006

2006 vintage. Cork easy to extract. A rusty rosé color. Slightly dirty/earthy with light-medium body and still plenty of acidity to shepherd the proceedings along in a timely manner. Excellent depth on the finish and well-integrated perfume in the bouquet. Another solid 5-6 years at this level before any noticeable drop-off. 2.14.26. — 2 months ago

Château Grand-Pontet

Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2009

Definitely a Christmas Day wine. Blackberry, currants, mulled spices that cling to the back of the tongue. Pair with pets for a German Shepherd around the ears to achieve this face 🥴. — 4 years ago

Château Le Bon Pasteur

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 1986

James Parker Huston, CWE

The family Estate of Michel Rolland, aka The Good Shepherd. This wine was in an amazing place with dried black plum, black berry, raspberry with secondary notes of bakers chocolate, fine herbs and toast. $85 at Auction was a steal. — 5 years ago
