This is not ready but showing well for only being open an hour and not decanted. It is a wine that really should not be opened until it has had 8-10 yrs plus in the cellar. Not as tight as I imagined but tight.

While it has firm, fine grain tannins. It also shows beautiful & elegance. This is aged in small barriques for 12 months and then another 12 months in large Slavonian casks.

Lightly tart & sour cherries, strawberries, plum, raspberries, dry cigar box, sun to fruit teas, soft old leather, limestone, dry crushed rocks, dry to moist herbs, some white & black pepper, grilled meats, barrel shavings, very light baking spices-clove, nutmeg, vanillin, beautiful Asian spices, some dark, dry soil, pink & red roses for days, beautiful acidity, excellent balance, mid structured-toned, great finesse, elegant finish that sneaks it way to a long even finish that sets on earth & barrel powder.

Opened at least an hour prior to service. The 2016 Furore Bianco “Fiorduva” pours a deep straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with beautiful notes of yellow and white flowers, quince, kumquat, and saline minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. This wine is simply awesome. I’d love more of this in my life. Drink now. — 6 months ago

14 year old #mataro aged at a famous steakhouse. Substantial acidity up front, blackberry pie, warming spices and just an undertone of fig fruit from the time in bottle. Tannins must have been fierce upon release but now they are firm and well-integrated. Delicious. — 7 months ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course a few hours. The 2024 Contra Costa County pours a ruby/purple color with a translucent core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is youthful and fresh with notes of bright tart, brambles, black cherry, black pepper, purple flowers, some black pepper and inorganic earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from nose. This finish is medium+ and loaded with minerals. Distinctive and full of energy. The 2023 RTW CCC pours a deep ruby/purple color with a translucent core; medium viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with powerful notes of mixed brambles, purple flowers, Fig Newtons, black pepper, dried green herbs, and silica rich, rocky earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and comes across like laser cut steel.
