peaches dirt. hint of sugar on nose and not a drop of RS on the tongue. geek level stuff. legend has it that "accordo a due vini" means the agreement of donkey and vine. since the donkey's name is dorthy it all makes sense!

Just wow! Love this Blend, probably due to its primary mixture being Sangiovese. Berry fruitfulness measured with an oak dry texture play against each other to make rich full bodied flavor that matched perfectly with Sunday dinner. Highly recommend. — 9 years ago

@Delectable Wine - This is the Teresi Vineyard blend of 50% Zinfandel / 50% Petite Sirah.
Had to carefully decant this due to a sh*t-ton of sediment. Nose is a kaleidoscope of oozing, purple mountain berries and deep florals. In the mouth, there’s an initial whack of purple fruit, but it’s whitewatered along by crisp acids. Tannins are present but a light and fine-grained. Only 12.5% alcohol, so it’s much lighter than a typical Zin/Petite Sirah blend. This would be a great choice for a cookout or with a wide range of pasta dishes (I’m having it with a dish of spaghetti with braised Tuscan kale and leeks). Great value and a unique style. — 2 years ago

Ridge Wine Dinner. I brought this cloaked in a brown bag to share with the Ridge winemaker. He guessed late 80s which shows how long these wines can age. From a well stored bottle with an in to the neck fill. Old tawny color, translucent and clean. Linear nose with currant, saddle leather, old wood and dirty gravel stone. Perfectly balanced in the mouth with fruit that is slightly faded, but matched well with fully resolved tannins. With several hours of air a richness in the fruit developed that was extraordinary. Yet still some acidity and structure remains so this should stay in a nice drinking window for the foreseeable future. Winemaker Eric explained that based on inspection of the glass, the bottle I brought was one of the '78 MBs that was not rebottled due to a malo issue after initial bottling, which might explain how fresh it is versus other '78 MBs he said. — 9 years ago
