Great, but the 2018 better - a little more horsepower. — 21 days ago
Red fruit, young, fair amount minerality at least initially, interesting wine for the price. The tannins mellowed nicely after it had some time to breath. — 22 days ago

This tasty 5 year old Tempranillo from Vega Sicilia & Rothschild, is still young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly.
Showing red and black fruits with earth, wood, spices, peppercorn, chocolates, tobacco, graphite and dark coffee.
Complex and interesting. Rich and fruit forward. A modern take on Rioja.
Better than their Classico version, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
100% Tempranillo grapes from 40 year old vines.
14% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

Deep, dark and contemplative. Fresh and lively nose, but the fruit is quite restrained and serious. Black cherry, prune, vanilla bean and black pepper with dusty, astringent tannins. Long dry finish of hay, dried herbs and some of that bitterness. Drinking it on the cooler side. Feels right to sip this while listening to Sketches of Spain. — a month ago

Quite approachable at this young age. 30 minutes decant and it’s open for business. Aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, sweet spices, cocoa, and lightly roasted nuts. The depth of flavors and elegant medium to full body show the pedigree. If blinded, I would not be able to tell this is a Sangiovese dominant blend. Would prefer a bit more acidity. But who am I to complain. — 6 days ago
