Tasted blind. Medium gold. Rich, “wow” nose... has a noticeable power that is a step above the other whites tonight. Lots of lemon and citrus, some gravel stone and dirt, tan spice, white acacia flowers. Later some creme brûlée thing pops in. The experience goes on and on for hours. Has an amazing level of balance... fruit, richness, complexity and structure. Again shows us this is an all time white. We all nailed our guess on this beauty by the process of deduction and the obvious quality of this amazing, in great condition juice. — 5 years ago
A step up from the standard Aluado. More depth. Less soft. Really enjoyed — 6 years ago
Recently went to tasting featuring bunch of “TheCalling” Wines. Tasted this ‘14 Pinot 2yrs ago-developed nicely. Sports commentator Jim Nantz & wine guru Peter Deutsch met by chance at CT restaurant, each having dinner w/friends. Jim had a passion for wine and was exploring the next step when Peter stopped by the table, that meeting started a collaboration. Ruby with berry fruit aromas and complex spice. On the palate cherry with vanilla oak and pepper spice. Lingering finish ending with cacao & oak notes. — 7 years ago

Perfect summer sipper, dry but not too much, just perfect for sweetness, mildly fruity. A step sweeter than French rose's, would definitely buy again — 4 years ago

A lovely Champagne that never tries to get beyond itself. Persistent small bubbles that never seem to stop with a fine mousse. Fresh brioche, apricots, and tart apples comprise the nose. Consistency is key here. This little sparkler is so solid and sturdy. Beautifully balanced, delivers at a high level that’s easily comparable to other big Champagne houses. Predominantly Chardonnay, there is a freshness and effervescence to these bubbles. Very bright and lively on the tongue, this is clearly a step above similar bottlings. Toasted almonds and toasted bread lead on the palate with vanilla and green apples bring up the rear. Such a solid, terrific Champagne, this should be your house bubbles. — 6 years ago
Popped and poured; no formal notes. This is a step up in complexity with a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. The Syrah plays a heavy role and sets the tone for color and aromatics which is dark purple and olive and black pepper respectively. The fruit is more mixed brambles with some licorice and baking spices. This is made with the estates’ younger vines and it certainly has a youthful energy about it. — 3 years ago
Beautiful full deep medium gold… surprising for such a young white wine. Enticing bright aroma of spring flowers and juicy dripping ripe orchard fruit. Every once in a while you run into a wine that just knocks you back a step.. this is such a wine. Rich, ripe, round, weighted, serious, lip-smacking good, complex, alive, smile-inducing, with a finish that makes you want to pour a glass for everyone you know. We consumed this wine with extremely well-made takeout Indian… Tikka Chicken, warm spicy Chana, and downright hot Lamb Vindaloo… this elixir stood up to the hodge-lodge and made it better. I need to buy this wine by the case. — 4 years ago
#sauternes so sweet and balanced. Third of three bottles for my wife’s 40th birthday. We saved the best for last, as it turns out. Honeyed layers as this gently warms in a Burgundy bowl - caramel, marzipan, toasted almonds, some petrol, apricot jam. Tastes exactly how it smells with the acidity taking a step back from the honey sweetness swirling around a luscious oily mouthfeel. Touch of orange pith bitterness on the finish - lovely wine. Indeed it pairs well with Indian food but the force of this wine could have easily matched even spicier dishes. Beautiful wine and what’s amazing is it seemed this wine could easily go another 20 years. Good Sauternes is ever youthful. — 5 years ago
I loved this one, step mom knows how to pick them. Bold, smooth, bold refectory after notes. Outstanding! — 5 years ago
2008 Henriot Millésimé. Sharp nose of lemon and lime, crushed riverbed rocks and slight floral notes. Sharp and crisp on the palate, almost wishing for the acidity to take a step back for the wine to unfold. Long finish. Let’s see how this develop in a few years. — 6 years ago
Great price point for its age good dram if you're look for a step up but don't want to break the bank — 7 years ago
This is a step down from Butteaux. Never heard of this vineyard. Lovely wine, holding strong after 7 years. Just less precise and more aged feeling. — 8 years ago

Pristine! 2013 Porusot is in a perfect place, a significant step in complexity and weight from the Lieu-dits, showing stunning concentration and fruit density and layered aromatics with racy citrusy acids, stony minerality and superb length and texture on the palate. Top notch white burg. — a year ago
