Wow. A stunner.
Nose is fresh peach skin and apricot
Palate is light peach. Balanced but not overtly acidic. Not heavy. Delicious. There is something very elegant about this. A rare tropical wine that is clean but not blowsy or syrupy or unctuous or too much. Almost this sweet beauty on the finish.
As this opens the nose is a unique thing of beauty. Not peach. But peach flowers. A thing of beauty. Nose filling but so elegant. The barest hint of clove maybe gives some complexity. Some minerality comes out on the palate. Maybe some lemon zest. Great elegant texture. A mere kiss of a coating on the palate. Lingering spice.

I think we sold this for under $23. What St. Joseph used to cost when I was coming up. Smoke, blueberry, blackberry, granite, spice and earth. Lovely nose. So so classic. Palate is juicy and super mineral. Lovely freshness and some slate like tannins. Good fruit soak and lovely hint of rusticity. Mineral. Really a mineral wine. I love this style. Good structure as well. Will improve for 5-6 years. Will update as it airs. Keeps changing. — 5 days ago
Young but will so great from this new rare Gripa St. Joseph Cuvee. More finesse driven than the Berceau and sits between that and the regular St. Joseph. Gorgeous nose of smoked meat, mint, hint of oak, big red berry fruit, floral and superb granite. What one wants. I love it. As it aerates a perfume develops. Palate is deep, structured, fresh and ripe. So clean. Juicy and substantial tannins but elegant as well. Long finish with superb clarity and sap. Really well made and also young. But just a terrific debut. — 15 days ago
Lights out good! Subtle, textural, balanced glycerol richness and phenolic bite, very and lively given its curves. Bosc pear, pineapple, yellow apple, white flowers, lees, hazelnut and a touch of nutmeg and spice. These are downright delicious white Rhônes that have failed to disappoint — 16 days ago

Blackberry, candied Cherry and black pepper. Delicious wine that is in perfect balance at the moment but soon on the downside. Had with braised rabbit and was perfect. Fun to drink and consistent over two hours of aeration. — 7 days ago
