Best everyday Pinot I have ever had. For $22, in Singapore ($$$) this gives juicy red and black fruit, some mushroom notes, and even some tannin. Not long or complex but we’ll made and highly quaffable. Better than Vinamofo duck sauce. And many more expensive Pinots. — 3 years ago
Happy day with French oysters, caviar and champagne in hot sweaty sticky sunny Singapore. Bye bye COVID-19! — 6 years ago
Singapore anniversary bottling at Raffles, great fun. — 6 years ago
Pale yellow. Flinty, firm, 'mineral' citrus oil, petrol. Bracing acid, slightly bitter/phenolic, feels very fresh for a 6 year old wine.
Paired w Singapore spiced Mahi Mahi.
If you don't know these dry Riesling wines from Australia 🇦🇺 now is a good time to buy and support them through their crazy wildfire season. #ozwine #riesling #dryasthedesert — 6 years ago

Haven't updated here for the longest time, but that's kinda how my wine journey has been in the last couple of weeks - dry af, stash running low, without any means of resupply in Kuching. Nevertheless, the tide has turned with my trips to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. Wine hour is at hand!
Did have this though during my dry spell. It was sort of nice find in this desolate land. Blistering acidity, floral, fruity - orange zest, grapefruit, finished with a light bitterness, honey, pebbly. Medium finish. A real solid Sancerre. — 7 years ago
On the flight from Dubai to Singapore. Mount Mary quintet 2012. Deep ruby core and quite wide light ruby rim, still seems quite young. Comes across as more mature on the nose, more tobacco , leather , red berries , spice and coffee, however there is sweet blackcurrant and cassis, underneath . Elegant and complex, and seems quite 'new world cool climate' so I suppose Yarra Valley would be in that category. Seems more fruit driven on the palate , nicely refreshing acidity , medium bodied only . Length is reasonable though not hugely long . Elegant is a word that comes to mind. Not sure how it will develop , tannins seem very interrogated and soft. Ready now and over the next 5 years ? 91 points — 9 years ago

I love all of the Sylvaners we sell. But weltner will always have a special place in my heart.
Nose is like smoke made from slow roasting flowers. Gorgeous.
Palate is mineral first. Then crushed flowers. Then a hint of tropical fruit. So balanced. Delicious.
For what this is, it’s hard to imagine a better wine.
Ok so I had this with Singapore chow mei fun. One of my favorite dishes on earth. Amazing pairing.

Light, refreshing and crisp. Best with local Singapore coconut flavoured rice and a platter of assorted savoury deep fried anchovies, spam and sunny sides. Burp! What are you waiting for? Come on over to sunny Singapore! — 6 years ago

Vintage 2010 / golden colour, minerals and honey in smell. Surprisingly powerfull in taste. Good balance. Clearly flesh on the bones. Not an easy wine because there are vibrant bitters, a chenin blanc for tasters with an acquired CB taste. / Paired fine with Miehoen Singapore with shrimps, eggs and Tsa Sieuw pork — 7 years ago
