Citrus blossom, white flowers, and talc as aromatics. On the palate, citrus, citric acid with a chalky texture. Very little TDN if any. A classic Australian dry Riesling still with a long life to develop tertiary characteristics. The following night a skerrick of peach becoming apparent on the palate. Most enjoyable. The Great southland a reliable terroir for Riesling.

Pale Lemon in colour. Aromas of Talc and citrus with a little herb. The palate has filled out somewhat from its austere acidic youth, in fact the acid has softened but still enough there if you wanted to keep cellaring for a few years. A quality Riesling from an excellent district for Riesling in Frankland River WA. Pristine clean flavours - purity is the key. Tasted another bottle 131 weeks later on 4th September 2022. Tasting quite lean after the Fat Bastard Chardonnay Ted brought last Sunday. This is a great Riesling with a big future. No kerosene aromas. Aromas of talc and limes. Still M plus acidity. Had another on 6th June 2023. Starting to develop some paraffin notes on the nose. Still mainly talc and lime. Have 2 bottles left - next in a year’s time.

Pale yellow. Flinty, firm, 'mineral' citrus oil, petrol. Bracing acid, slightly bitter/phenolic, feels very fresh for a 6 year old wine.
Paired w Singapore spiced Mahi Mahi.
If you don't know these dry Riesling wines from Australia 🇦🇺 now is a good time to buy and support them through their crazy wildfire season.

Mid Lemon in colour. Developing and putting on weight from 4 years ago and not as austere. Paraffin aromas on the way but not quite there yet - a touch of lanolin. Could cellar for at least another 5 years if desired. Fresh and clean from Frankland River and the Great Southland of Western Australia. Barb and I are heading that way over Christmas and New Year for our first visit taking in the towns of Albany and Denmark. Known for great Riesling, Shiraz and Cabernet.

Opens super fresh. Bright tropical fruit, guava, mango, lime. Smells like riesling, with a subtle creamy undertone. Well balanced weight with bright acidity. New world fruit, with old world acid. Finish excels in length with minerality persisting. Drink now or hold.

Delicious. Full mouth of fruit but dry on the finish. A lovely Riesling.
