Weingut Weltner
Rödelseer Küchenmeister Trocken Sylvaner
So so good. Glorious wintergreen mint and loads of mineral. Palate is rich yet also energetic with freshness from minerality but also excessive minerality. Green peas and sugar snap peas with a savory element and lovely length. Killer!

1 person found it helpfulJul 15th, 2018I love all of the Sylvaners we sell. But weltner will always have a special place in my heart.
Nose is like smoke made from slow roasting flowers. Gorgeous.
Palate is mineral first. Then crushed flowers. Then a hint of tropical fruit. So balanced. Delicious.
For what this is, it’s hard to imagine a better wine.
Ok so I had this with Singapore chow mei fun. One of my favorite dishes on earth. Amazing pairing.

Sugar snap peas and buttercream on the nose. Good minerals, good acidity, structure, linearity. Some grapefruit zest on the tongue and a lanolin, waxy finish. If this were my house white I’d guzzle this stuff. I need to see how it develops with some years in the cellar.
