My first Sylvaner (?)….Great aromatics -saltwater taffy, endive, dehydrated green grapes. Light lime green/pale yellow in appearance; On palate some of that lime skin grated, more taffy & green apple. Super luxurious & fascinating texture- I wanted to chew & just experience it more. Full in the mouth. Dry but plump at same time. Balanced acid, not screechy or distracting. Quite giving too. What a cool wine, period. — 7 months ago

This is just such a distinctive and delicious wine. Yellow flowers.
Nose: so mineral and nicely tropical. So silvaner. Amazing typicity
Palate is stone fruits, minerals. So juicy. Great acidity.
Amazing with food. Just makes a good evening great. An hour in you get the wall of flavor. Dense yellow fruits mineral acidity all hit you like a lunch in the face all at once. Magnificent. Rich. Amazing body. Minerals crushed by hand in your mouth.
Finish has this almost savory element. Terrific
We can argue about styles but this is one of the best silvaners on earth.

So, this is Agathe’s top cuvée of Sylvaner (which I’ve heard is one of her favorite grapes) grown in the Grand Cru “Zinnkoepfle” — the problem in Alsace is that Sylvaner is not considered a “noble” grape, and thus this wine is “Eminence” rather than identifying the vineyard site. With that said, spicy aromatics, floral and ripe white stonefruit aromas and flavors, great acid balance adds depth and complexity, super fine Alsatian Sylvaner!! — 2 months ago
