Talmettes is on a limestone parcel and therefore gives very mineral wines, almost like white ones.
This is in indeed very stony and mineral, but has flesh and lots of red fruit together with dollops of rose fanée and spices. Medium bodied, very complex and elegant, just about ready but no rush. A fine bottle very much to our taste. — 16 days ago
Yellow fruit, still very nice, good freshness and acidity, with a certain roundness and richness but well balanced. Nice wine again and no early evolution like I encountered with a few of the Generic white burgundy of that domaine. 89-90
Had the 2004 in Willamette valley at Antica Terra from their benchmark wines collection — 5 months ago
Pop and 1.5 hrs slow ox. My initial read on this was that it was slightly faded, but I think that might just be a stylistic choice. Lovely bright nose, with good lemon and apple, but surprisingly light in style and surprisingly soft for a Corton Charlemagne. On the palate: fresh, with good acidity. Again, surprisingly soft. Maybe more Pernand-Vergelesses 1er than CC in my book. Ok. — 4 months ago
$115 @ domestique. Unidentifiable and delicious flavor on the front. Low acid. — 5 months ago
