Sassafras Shade Vineyard

Moshin Vineyards

Lot 4 Selection Pinot Noir 2017

We had the 2017 Vintage on 11/11-12/23. This is a real good PN with tastes of black cherry, rhubarb, vanilla, cinnamon and baking spice. Well balanced and a smooth mouthfeel. Very good. Would buy more. Other similar wines had more sassafras and cola. Not so much here — 5 months ago

Presqu'ile Vineyard Pinot Noir 2019

Very nice. Typical for the area. Cherry, strawberry, little fruit compote, sassafras, touch of violet and nice acid. Great with salmon. — 9 months ago

Moshin Vineyards

Estate Grown Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2018

We had the 2018 Vintage on 10/6-7/23. Black cherry and blackberry on the bouquet. Same flavors on the palate. The most striking feature is the velvety mouthfeel. Smooth texture, fruit forward, but still medium bodied. One of the better wines from Moshin. What this did not have is the sassafras and cola tastes. — 7 months ago

Château Lynch-Bages

Grand Cru Classé Pauillac Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 1989

Delectable Wine
9.8

The 1989 Lynch-Bages is arguably the pinnacle of a fecund era for the Pauillac estate. The aromatics bowl you over with their intensity and precision, complex and brimming with personality: black fruit laced with graphite and blood orange. It would shade many a First Growth. The palate is medium-bodied with gorgeous, multi-layered black fruit on top of graphite and tobacco with just a faint touch of meat juices towards the entrancing finish. Frankly, there is nothing more that you could wish from a Pauillac that is audacious and utterly charming. Tasted at the château both in bottle and double-magnum formats. Villa Wolf

Ernst Loosen Pfalz Pinot Noir Rosé 2020

Purchased from Dan Murphy’s for $16 and a real crowd favourite. Very yummy and would definitely buy it again.

Pink diamond shade in the glass with notes of strawberry, grapefruit and some kind of herb, maybe coriander, on the nose. It’s super smooth and easy drinking with hints of watermelon 🍉 and nectarine 🍑 on the palate. Light and bright 🥰

All opinions are my own. Drink what you enjoy!

Domaine Amiot Guy et Fils

Vieilles Vignes Chassagne-Montrachet Chardonnay 2020

Softest golden straw with glints of green gold. Hint of gunpowder melts to reveal a pudding-soft, dried lychee which peels away to white roses, citrus pith and avocado cloud glistening with flintlock shavings in ginkgo shade. Extraordinary palate leans hard into a soft wall of olive, evaporating lemon oils, cottonseed oil, and lime nodules. Tangerine-pear impossibilities flower, riveting the tongue with pithy, zesty, and blossoming evocations. Ginger, tea and nano bits of Wrigley’s original juicy fruit.
