Bourgogne Passetoutgrain Gamay Pinot Noir Blend 2019

Burnt tire reduction blows off after one hour. Sturdy wine. Saturated/decently extracted but not a fruit bomb in the least. Lovely with polenta and grilled pork chops. Probably improve greatly with about 3 years in the cellar. — 25 days ago

Stunner - incredible freshness, complexity, and balance for a wine this age. Elegance over power. — 24 days ago

Private Selection Aged in Bourbon Barrels Monterey County Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

A favorite in my house. The bourbon aftertaste is very subtle, but it gives off a slight smoky aftertaste. Very smooth. — a month ago

Black Chicken Napa Valley Zinfandel 2021

Just a lovely zin. For the price a great wine with a steak. Very forward and mouth filling, yet balanced. Just plain tasty. — 2 months ago

Les Cailles Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2018

2024/2/13. This is multifaceted, with different elements emerging and submerging repeatedly over dinner. By turns firm and earthy, young and gangly with a touch of pack showing, and wildly aromatic, as is typical for young Chevillon wines. This Cailles in particular showed strawberry and watermelon coulis, cherry, spices such as cardamom and sweet game. On the palate it’s fleshy, broad and on the low side in acid, but that’s relative - though still tannic and a bit awkward, it’s balanced and enjoyable — a month ago
