Beautiful blend of the best of Languedoc whites. 42% Roussanne, 40% Grenache Blanc, 15% Clairette & 5% Viognier. Estate bottled from grapes apparently grown on the 32 hectares of historic vineyards where multiple Roman legions were stationed to protect the vineyards of this region… for god reason. An Eric Solomon selection so it has been selected by someone with the ability to source great wines! Wonderful floral components with light minerality and mildly acid combined with a slight taste of residual sweetness from the fruit forward grapes typical@of the region to give this refreshing wine a perfect balance! — a year ago
Earthy on the nose, with a nose full of fruit. Wonderful and fruity, slightly dry, and very drinkable. Bottoms up!! — 4 years ago
Awesome every day sipper for price. Super dependable Eric Solomon wine. — 5 years ago

wow this had some serious funk upon opening, thought it might be a bit of Brett, but it turned to barnyard and then to just earthiness - deep ruby, semi-opaque, showed plenty of terroir, mineral "schistiness" along with delicate ripe red fruit, smoke, pepper, savory herbs and some florals. med bodied on palate, nice acidity & polish - very engaging and approachable style. dried herbs, red & black fruit, white pepper and plenty of minerality. cerebral entry level Priorato that is a pretty good bargain — 6 months ago
Interesting take on a crisp white varietal. Has definitive floral notes. Quite nice. — 4 years ago
Wine with roasted whole chicken part 2: I used to adore Ribera Sacra, & then moved away with the inevitable rise in price & trend towards more modern styles. Not this. A short decant (45-60) to take the wind out of the Brett sails, & we were off: dense, brambly black fruits on nose & palate, with a distant barn door left open on the nose. Medium plus acidity. It’s the length though that impressed me, along with a freshness (at 13%). Evolves in glass, as if the fruit still has layers. Like a really good chinon. At about 28$, a high end QPR. Eric Solomon imp, interestingly enough. — 4 years ago
