Beautiful blend of the best of Languedoc whites. 42% Roussanne, 40% Grenache Blanc, 15% Clairette & 5% Viognier. Estate bottled from grapes apparently grown on the 32 hectares of historic vineyards where multiple Roman legions were stationed to protect the vineyards of this region… for god reason. An Eric Solomon selection so it has been selected by someone with the ability to source great wines! Wonderful floral components with light minerality and mildly acid combined with a slight taste of residual sweetness from the fruit forward grapes typical@of the region to give this refreshing wine a perfect balance! — 10 months ago

Ripe Blackberry that lingers on the tongue and the structure reveals itself near the back of the mouth. Just beautiful! Had it with sliced Virginia Smithfield ham and Vermont Cabot very sharp cheddar aged 12 months — 3 years ago

Deep rich fruit against a strong acid backbone. Good now but I think it needs 5 years more on the bottle in good storage to smoothen out some edges. Great deal at Last Bottle though — 3 years ago

Beautiful, rich berry notes! A $22 Last Bottle special. Great acid structure but the berry is overwhelming. It’s very close to what I’d expect from Quintarelli! Just a fantastic buy! Having it with Pumpkin Ramen soup with some kick… great balance! I’m impressed. — 4 years ago

I got this magnum from Last Bubbles being sold on the rather regal description of the wine makers and the various plats from which they choose their blends. This was likely one of the best glasses of champagne I’ve ever had! The bright citrus followed by a nutty character backed by a sublime measure of acidity create a brilliant example of what champagne can be! — a year ago

Every sip revealed a slightly more interesting character as the wine opened up. Had it with a Laura’s Beef prime ribeye, a baked potato with butter, sour cream and chives and haricot vert sautéed in olive oil… just a great pairing with a great classic Bordeaux! Thank you — 3 years ago

I give this Lovely blend of Tempranillo 39%, petite Syrah 35%, Zinfandel 18%, Cabernet Sauvignon 8% a 90.5 as I am stingy about ratings for promising wines that are good now but could evolve into higher levels of expectancy! Created from grapes in a small town in N Calif honors the heritage of those who starting planting the area with delicious devotion! Full flavor, good structure… it might open more with another year or two of aging… but it’s ready! “Enjoy! / Gozar!” Another Last Bottle steal! Good work team! — 3 years ago

A few years ago I tried one bottle of this central coast Bordeaux blend anticipating it would be very fruit forward and typical of the Cabernet-based wines from that area. Instead of getting the overwhelming fruit, I got a very well structured and balanced young wine that I could tell was made with great restraint and care. I guess the rest of the half case that I bought from Last Bottle Wines for very short money as best as I can recall was misplaced and ended up hidden in the back corner of my basement. Clearing out a few things for the holidays, My significant other brought a bottle Upstairs for us to try. Just upon cracking the bottle I could smell the tremendous aroma of a new world highly crafted wine that one would expect to come from one of the renowned vineyards in Napa. We decanted the wine as there was a fair amount of sediment indicating the winemaker was an originalist and did not filter nor did he or she fine the wine. On the first sip I was shocked that this Appellation with with the finesse of a artisanal wine maker with could produce a Stags Leap or Rutherford quality Bordeaux blend! Amazing! Congratulations to the growers, and makers of this excellent bottle! — 2 years ago

Interesting grape Tibouren new to me. Hint of melon in the scent… good balance and structure, flavor of tart fruit… it’s different and difficult to describe. It’s worth a try. Maybe a bit too new at 2020. It could age — 3 years ago

Lovely fruit with hints of citrus but not too dry… tight active bubbles… and beautiful structure through to the finish… having a delightful sophistication that one can find in the better Alsatian sparklers. This was a Last Bottle special for $18 and I feel like I aided and abetted in a theft of this nice little gem! At this price, and since I’m enjoying it almost every other day with dinner, I’m angry at myself for not having ordered 2 cases… but I have finally started to feel like I need to be enjoying what I have until I create more room for some more terrific wines! Thanks for letting me share! — 3 years ago
