Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2022

Medium straw in color; passionfruit, jasmine, and white peaches on the nose; high acidity; tastes like guava, lemon, pear, and kiwi with a long fruity finish. Nellie likes it and I love it! — a month ago

Chateau Ste. Michelle

Columbia Valley Riesling 2011

This has apple, pear, and citrus notes. It has a sparkling mouth feel, is light bodied. It is a slightly sweeter wine than most the other wines we’ve tried but still acidic — 2 months ago

La Caña

Rías Baixas Albariño

A wine from Jorge Ordóñez and his winemaking team. Pale lemon with crisp stone fruit and citrus aromas. On the palate apple, pear and melon flavors with lemon citrus, consistent offering from La Cana. Medium finish ending with fruit, spice and mineral tang. Nice value. — 4 months ago

Charles Heidsieck

Brut Réserve Champagne Blend

Charles "Champagne Charlie" Heidsieck was one of the first to recognize the importance of the U.S. as a Champagne market. A blend with 40% reserve wines, fruit and floral bouquet, with orange blossom & yeasty notes. Fine bubbles, nice mousse, showing quality. Outstanding rich flavors of apple, pear and biscuit, well balanced, good structure, creamy. Long finish ending with toasty nutty oak & mineral notes. — 3 hours ago

Grgich Hills Estate

Napa Valley Chardonnay 2019

Lemon / pear on the palate. Less oak than in the past (a good thing) so a cleaner Chardonnay. February 2023. — 3 months ago

Vietti

Roero Arneis 2019

Similar to the 2018 but seemingly more fruit. Melon and pear are really dominating, no complaints here. A little fizzante. Strong minerality helps it linger on the palate. Definitely a food wine. — 2 months ago

Domaine du Closel-Château des Vaults

La Jalousie Savennières Chenin Blanc 2020

Quite stony on the nose , green apple , wet wool. On the palate fills out well with more green fruits , apple , pear and quince with a creamy , slightly waxy character to go with the flinty , saline and stony notes . Good balanced acidity and decent , honey tinged finish . Enjoyable now though will age well over the next 10 -15 years or so . — 2 months ago
