Les Amidyves Côtes du Ventoux Grenache Blend 2016

Very dark purple color, nearly opaque, intense black fruit and red fruit aromas and flavors, excellent intensity and depth, biodynamic producer, long, lingering finish, my only real nit is it’s 15% ABV, and the alcohol is very evident in the finish, so kinda afraid to age it the 5+ additional years this bottle shows it should logically handle (slight score markdown to reflect this dilemma). — 10 days ago

Les Petits Pieds d'Armand Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhône Blend 2013

2013 vintage. Dried cherries washed over ripe figs and finish with a semi sweet fruit medley. Paired with lamb kabobs and oven warmed asparagus with red wine reduction. 💋 — 4 months ago

Meursault Chardonnay 2020

Quite nice with some matchstick/flint reduction, slightly tropical fruit but also some minerality, and decent acidity. — 13 hours ago

Les Sétilles Bourgogne Chardonnay 2021

Bright lemon color with aromas of citrus, stone fruits and flinty floral notes. On the palate flavors of crisp apple, pear and lemon citrus with notes of white flowers, almonds and garden spice. Medium+ finish, vivid acidity ending with fruit, citrus and mineral spice. Nice! Perfect now! — 2 months ago

Puligny-Montrachet Chardonnay 2021

2021 vintage. Popped and tasted after 30 mins and at 58-60 degrees. Silken with creamy entrails. Not too shabby for a village bar fight. Could drink this a few times a week if demanded. 7.19.24. — 5 months ago

Sève 'En Barmont' Les Riceys Rosé de Saignée Champagne

Ethereal and gorgeous, not your average rosé. A medium crimson color in the glass with effusive perlage. All the pretty red fruits on the nose. Strawberries, raspberries, and cherries, no doubt, but pineapples join the party too. Sweet brioche and beautiful floral notes complement.

From Les Riceys, the cross section of Champagne and Burgundy and it shows. Vinous, vibrant, and deep. The acidity is high and lovely along with terrific balance and weight throughout. 100% Pinot Noir with a nice combination of fruity and savory. The palate closely follows the nose with more sumptuous red berries and biscuits in the mouth. Oak on the long finish. A powerful champagne and one of my favorites.
