Les Grandes Places Côte-Rôtie Syrah 2015

Lyle Fass

Wow. I needed something profound and I got it. Yes this is 10-15 years too young but wow. Nose is just stunning. Deep berry fruit that is so clear and vivid along with huge florals and a rocky component under. Terrific spice and some game. Palate so elegant with massive power and concentration but all wrapped in finesse. Really not a hard edge in sight. Wow. Spectacular. Showing a hint of wood right now but really well integrated. Finish is a mile long. Sappy and stunningly fresh and linear. — 18 days ago

Clos de la Coulée de Serrant Savennières Chenin Blanc 1996

Honeyed notes and peaches. Stone in the midpalate. Sweetness at the edges. A subtle, rounded wine. Whiff of marmalade — a month ago

Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2016

This is a very nice Pinot! Red fruit and cherry stones on the nose with a peppery finish. It’s young and could use some more time in the bottle. I’m excited to see this open up in the years ahead — 4 days ago

Kezako Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil Cabernet Franc 2018

mmmm. started out super funky, dark juicy fruit, milky. as it sat for a minute it warmed up and got more tannic and chewy. say medium tannin, balanced by medium acids and dryness. definitely bolder but not overwhelmingly so. super enjoyable. i love seb david ❤️ — 9 days ago

Mes Gamays Coteaux Bourguignons Gamay 2017

Almost on the sweet side, but the darker fruit shows beautifully and keeps you coming back for more. Need to revisit in a couple of years to see if it balances out a bit more. All pleasure in this bottle! — 21 days ago

Chateau La Prade Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

Good QPR. Underrated in the ratings. Full-bodied and creamy with cherry, chocolate and iron notes. Medium finish. Could use some time on the shelf or a good decant. — 20 days ago
