I guess I’m drinking this too soon! Need to better manage the cellar… tremendous fruit on the nose as I decanted that became more vegetal with time. Bright and leathery on the tongue, rich and luscious in the mouth. Strong tannins — easy to see how others are enjoying it at twice the age. — a year ago
Had this with friends for a birthday.
Tasting the wine solo it was very juicy, balanced tannins and slightly acidic with flavors of dark cherries, mocha and cinnamon.
After a bite of roasted lamb this wine was georgeous! It glided across the tongue with the fat of the lamb and all the lovely dark fruit flavors came forward and the acid integrated perfectly making it soft and supple.
I decanted for 4 hours. — 4 years ago

One of my all-time favorites. Explosive on the tongue, fruit forward. A lingering aftertaste — 9 months ago

This dark wine - opaque, in fact - has a powerful nose. It packs a perfumed aroma package consisting of dark fruit - like blackberries - and only a limited supply of the earthiness which I often find in a Paso Robles Cab. There is a savory streak, to be sure, and it throws leather, tar and a pine forest into the nose. The chalky aspect of the Paso dirt comes through on the palate, which is heavily influenced by the earth and the two years spent in barrels. — 4 years ago
Excellent. Crisp savory and rolls across the tongue. Layers here and it is a great compliment to the special evening. — 3 years ago

2023 Vintage with chicken dinner. Flavors of lime and grapefruit on palate and is crisp and smooth. Nice wine for summer entertainment! — a month ago
