At nine years old, this may have been a touch past its prime, but it still drank pretty well. Dark fruit and tobacco were dominant on the nose and palate, with hints of earth, cinnamon, and pepper coming through as well. Very floral. Flowers and great minerality. None of the almond associated with verdicchio. Some spice I can’t place. Allspice? Nutmeg? Requires further research so I can give an accurate review. Had this with Pollo in Potacchio- a Marchegiani recipe. — 5 months ago
