Gifted this bottle at bottling by the winemaker himself, and also helped with the label copywriting for this and the 2012 vintage. 12 years to payoff and not disappointed in the slightest! All the elements I love about my friend who made it - bold, sassy, centered, and vibrant! — 5 months ago
Beautifully foamy / creamy with notes of pear. Excellent minerality with a subtle sweetness. Pairing with sushi and very happy with this. — 6 months ago
Spicy! Lighter body than I was expecting but a super full expression and lingers on the palette. I am overdue for a trip to the wine store so this was my only"everyday" red available and I don't really know why I was avoiding it because it's decent! — 3 months ago
Deep vegetal nose with a cereal / grain undertone. Very dry and short finish, which I enjoy! A little more sweet than I was expecting but not an issue for me. — 5 months ago
Perfect mix of smoothness and dryness for this golden hour at the lake house. A sweet mineral undertone is just the perfect twist. #vacationland — 5 months ago
The most concentrated juicy red of all time. Super smooth and cool and amazing. Let it open up for 20 minutes or more before drinking. — 3 months ago
Ignore the label because it will set your expectations incorrectly. All in all a good wine. Very light bodied. Crisp and refreshing! — 3 months ago
Lovely minerality, which is the perfect vibe after a day of mining tourmaline and visiting the bethel mineral and gem museum!! — 5 months ago
Grapey in the best way. Nice body and acidity. Probably would wait another few years but it was free at an eclipse watching event! — 7 months ago

HOLY SHIT is this an incredible wine. Incredible cherry punch with a deep vegetal structure underneath. One of the most complex and well-made wines I've ever had. I cannot believe this is being grown in North Carolina, and I REALLY cannot believe they got a petit verdot to be like this. I chalk it up to their focus on working with the juice and minimal intervention agriculture. Being situated on the continental divide, surrounded by apple farms doesn't hurt. — 2 months ago
