Gorgeous salmon pink, very fine creamy mousse, bright acidity. Notes of strawberry, raspberry, orange peel, lemon peel, red apple, brioche, vanilla, lemon drop, wet stone. Exceptionally long finish. Just a glorious wine alone or with smoked salmon, tuna tartare, duck prosciutto, — 3 years ago

Every once in a while I get a craving for a Ruche, so I’m lucky I had this one in the cellar, because they’re hard to find. This is really nice in a relatively lighter style. Nose leaps out of the glass with crunchy, pungent dark berry, a purple floral note, and bit of pink grapefruit rind. There a unique rock dust note too. Fluid in texture and lighter in style, the cleansing grapefruit rind notes predominate on the palate. A nice lightly bitter note on the clingy finish. — 5 years ago
@delectable this is neve yarak winery's rose 2019
i was lucky to join granache plantings in neve yarak winery - a small boutique winery in central israel with vinyards on flat land.
hard laboring planting the american root stocks left my leg muscles hurting for a few days but every time ill pass the close by highway road I'll enjoy the memory. and i got this rose...
65% carignan
35% grenache
vineyards are 39 years old.
oak fermentation.
12% ABV
pale pink 👀
some greeness and funk first. followed by unripe strawberry and raspberry, lemon and grapefruit peel👃
medium body.
medium + acidity.
creamy red fruit and citrus with added funk, green leaves variety and some dust 👄
medium 🎯
pleasent tartness with an edge. very drinkable. balanced and complex.
lovely high powered rose.
feels right.
ok vfm (110 nis or a few hours of hard work). better value with imported rose's but this is an enjoyable local choice.
paired well with ok-ish delivery pizza. one mushrooms topped with terrible 'tartufo oil' and the second with caramelised onions and balsamic vinaigrette. — 6 years ago
Elegant Fleurie with ripe red and black fruits, red flowers and a strong mineral note from the pink granite soils in Fleurie. Well balanced acidity makes this wine fresh and great to pair with food . Really enjoyed this with duck confit cassoulet with friends tonight. — 7 years ago
Requisite duck on the label. Color is pale salmon. Pretty. Smells fresh and complex. Hint of fruit and some of those minerals and wet leaves. Just a hint of citrus. Maybe pink grapefruit. Flavors are explosive. Plenty of mineral water. An acid zing. Faintest of strawberry. More citrus than berries. But balanced. This is a big and expressive Rosé. — a year ago
Pink duck wine from rws so good needs to be cold colddd — 3 years ago
Amazing mushroom aroma, as full bodied as a non-Champagne wine. Paired incredibly well with duck. Lucky to try this vintage, which is no longer available for sale. — 3 years ago
This cherry ale is such a pleasure to drink! It’s medium-bodied and almost creamy textured with light sweetness and no astringency or bitterness. The color is medium red with a thin light pink head and at first sip, I get strong almond notes with hints of cherry and floral hops. The taste reminds me of a cream filled chocolate covered cherry with a subtle cranberry finish. You can taste the quality of this beer and I feel lucky to have tried it! Definitely try it if you get the chance. — 5 years ago
Virtual tasting with Texture Wines and winemaker Erich Bradley.
This is my second time with this wine in the last 18 months, the first being back in San Antonio for the WNH event when @Joe Lucca
brought it. Joe was the key component to getting the Texture Wines virtual tasting setup. Wonderful time.
I gave this about a two hour decant and it needed every bit of it. In the glass, I was shocked at how golden and amber it was (Erich addressed this during our tasting and said he likes to get a bit of oxygen to it early on to prevent any type of premox later in its life). Meyer lemon, lemon oil, sea salt, oyster shell and crushed limestone dominate the nose. Even some candied pineapple. Electric on the palate with zero trace of oak accompanied by bright citrus. So much tart but flavorful fruit carried by high acidity. Towards the end of night one, the finish had a note of soft pink cotton candy. On day two, the fruit became more rich and honeyed. This is built like grand cru Chablis and isn’t fading for at least 7-10yrs. — 6 years ago

On open is quite vegetal. Needs an hour at this point to smooth out.
Nose: some game. Savory. Some pink and purple flowers.
Palate: savory. Cherries. Really meaty. Interesting. Still fresh but a wine that demands magret du canard. Good freshness.
Also would kill with duck leg confit.
A very well made Bordeaux.

Dark red-pink color throughout.
Shellfish and herbal perfume on the nose.
Dark chocolate on the palate. — 2 years ago
Have had lucky with Rosé lately, and this continues the streak.
Raspberry, pink grapefruit, strawberry, apricot, melon…. Fruit galore! Chalky minerals and light herbs as well. Very structured on the palate with good texture, racy acidity, and hint of tannins.
50% Cinsault, 26% Grenache and 24% Syrah from dedicated blocks of the vineyard. — 3 years ago
Pink peppercorn, unexpectedly heavy for rose. Leaving expectations? Lovely with shrimp and duck salad. I’m happy I stocked up — 4 years ago
This is now the second time in the past year that I have been able to sample the 2012 Cayuse Vineyards ‘Bionic Frog’ Syrah. Wild blackberry compote and Umami tones combine with green olives and Hoisin sauce with smoked duck on the nose. The gorgeous aromatics bring you back to the glass for more enjoyment. Once on the palate the seamless texture really impresses. Layers of roasted figs and boysenberry collide with minerals, lemon rind, smoked brisket, milk chocolate and dried sage with a light dusting of white pepper on this complex palate. This is extremely complex and delicious Syrah to sit and deconstruct. Either way, if you are sitting with this wine, consider yourself very lucky. Still fresh and vibrant, with good weight, the 2012 Cayuse Vineyards ‘Bionic Frog’ Syrah will enjoy at least another eight years ahead of it. But why wait? Drink 2020-2028- 98 — 6 years ago

Got lucky. This was the last bottle they had. Really good choice for both the duck and the salmon. — 7 years ago
Special night with Kuan Lim at Lucky Palace restaurant. Always a special occasion when drinking with him. I think this wine has hit its stride. Tannins softer than I expected. Good dark fruit with almost a milkiness to it. Went well with Duck on Scallion Pancakes. QPR, not so much. Special occasion wine = yes. — 7 years ago

What a great wine! Pinot Noir from the Cote Champenois. Very mineral, with some nice red fruit on the palate. You can taste where a Blanc de Noir gets its profile from in this wine. Great to have this “Grand Cru” with some age on it (9 years). I picked up two bottles up in the silent bid auction of the 2025 Wine on Wheels event. Such a lucky buy. Enjoyed with home cooked grilled lamb, sautéed mushrooms with a Sherry reduction, asparagus and wild rice medley. Pretty good, although probably a touch better with something more along the lines of poultry (roast chicken or duck, maybe turkey). — 9 months ago
