There’s a purity and elegance to this wine that kept me going back. Everything’s light - bright red berry, sweet tannins and subtle Mediterranean tang - but the whole has weight and … well, gravitas, with a lengthy finish. Outstanding for me. Great food wine. — 17 days ago
Wine is full bodied, purplish. On nose its violets, black cherries, cheedar, earthy. On palate, its sweet, little spicy, i can taste the brightness from sangiovese buts its more vegal to me. The structure, merlot balanced the syrah so it does mellowed the syrah attack. Long finish, tannic, give it 1 hour decant. Best after 2028.. cheers! 🍷 — 5 days ago
Medium Ruby with aromas of fresh berry fruits, floral and sweet spice. On the palate this medium body wine shows flavors of juicy blueberry and blackberry with notes of herbs and vanilla spice. Dusty tannin structure, lively acidity, medium ending with crisp fruit finish. Nice value. Drink now, consistent, no aging benefit. — 12 days ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over three days and showed very well throughout. The 2012 pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core and some browning towards the rim; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with secondary characteristics just starting to show themselves. Also, the solar nature of 2012 is showing through with loads of truffles and overripe and desiccated red and black fruits: tartufo bianco d’Alba, dried cherry, bruised raspberries, red roses, leather, Fig Newtons, dried herbs, and some dusty and gravelly earth. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long, drying and savory. I’ve been a vocal fan of the 2012 vintage of Produttori since release and this might be the best showing yet. This is my last 750mL. My remaining bottles are magnums and I’ll look forward to enjoying those over the next 10-15 years. No rush, but this is a fun time to drink these as the truffle character is starting to peak through. — 4 hours ago
Bright Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, spices, oak and floral notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and plum with notes of herb pepper, tobacco, cedar and cacao. Long finish, nice balance with fine soft tannins, ending with oak and earthy notes. Needs a few more years in the bottle! — 7 days ago
I bought and drank a fair amount of Allegrini Palazzo Della Torre back in the late 1990s, and always enjoyed them. First time in the past 20 years, this seems a little softer and polished, a little lower ABV (13.5 vs. 14+ in earlier vintages), this is vinified using conventional fermentation as well as some ripasso fermentation (think Amarone drying grapes on straw mats), and has some very nice complexity and length, very nice!! — 13 days ago

Ruby in color with a wide brown/ brick rim.
Medium bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing black fruits with wood, earth, vegetables, spices, tobacco leaf, bitter herbs and peppercorn.
Nice finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 14 year old Brunello lost a lot of its fruits at this point. Soft and elegant. Earthy and better with food.
I paired it with a prosciutto and arugula pizza.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
90 points.

Decant and pour. They broke out the Giant glass.....black cherry, leather, tobacco, pepper, dried herbs, cedar, and tannic. Should round out over time. YUM! Super Tuscan tonight to start our Napa weekend...who woulda thunk. — 5 days ago
