Le Serre Nuove dell'Ornellaia Bolgheri Rosso Merlot Blend

50% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc, 11% Petit Verdot. Refreshing on the nose with pink pepper and cypress berries aromas, which are reminiscent of the Mediterranean shrub. On tasting, the wine is elegant with a lovely acidity and an enduring and savoury finish.

The fourth time in a month… great place

Opens up with splash of plums, dark cherries, and apple. This is tempered by fig, anise and touch of smoke. There are bitter but light tannins that dominate the final notes.

Deep purple color.
Aromas of black fruit, violet.
Dry. Flavors of blackberry, blackcurrant, anise, violet, peppercorn. Rich, chewy tannins.
