Emidio Pepe
Montepulciano d'Abruzzo
There’s a purity and elegance to this wine that kept me going back. Everything’s light - bright red berry, sweet tannins and subtle Mediterranean tang - but the whole has weight and … well, gravitas, with a lengthy finish. Outstanding for me. Great food wine.

Apr 21st, 2024Wow. First time with this wine after seeing it across many elite lists. First sip is super grippy but has an immediate and unique sweetness. After long decant, the tannins fade away and sweetness is integrated - the wine is in beautiful balance. Fruit and tension. Italy all the way
