Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2014

My first bottle I tried using the Coravin Model 2 Elite 👍 Remember to enter the competition I posted on Saturday on Instagram for your chance to win one also 🤞 Drinking well young @ £80 but should improve a little letting the dry tones soften 😁

Stone Flat Vineyard Chardonnay 2013

Surprise! The 2013 Stone Flat is a no-hold wine as of 2019... unless perhaps your cellar is cooler than my 60F. Plenty of tropical and butterscotch notes have developed. Drink now. — a month ago

Carneros Chardonnay 2014

Amazing for an 18 year old Carneros. Lemon curd, endive, camomille, and black truffle. Silky, lingering mouthfeel. Absolutely sublime. A bit of a metallic (tanky) edge in the finish. — a month ago

McCrea Vineyard Chardonnay 2012

Shay A

This was very much in the savory style so I’m not sure if it’s due to age or just the style (not a lot of experience with this Kistler chard). Sea salt, popcorn kernel, grilled lemon and baked peach pie. Lovely texture and acidity. The ‘10 Aubert Lauren it was poured alongside had more of the rich, sweet lemon cream notes, so that may have highlighted the savoriness here. — 5 days ago

Vine Hill Road Vineyard Chardonnay 1990

Perfectly aged, this California chardonnay from
Kistler was simply stunning! Notes of dried pineapple, lemon curd, and vanilla bean on the nose, with the complexity of preserved lemons, butterscotch, and toasted almonds on the finish. A golden Valentine's day treat!

Kistler Vineyard Chardonnay 2016

Delectable Wine

The 2016 Chardonnay Kistler Vineyard, from Steve Kistler's original vineyard on Moon Mountain, shows a real sense of hillside structure in its deep, phenolic personality. There is a feeling of real textural depth and substance that runs through the KV. A whole range of citrus, floral and savory notes give the wine its distinctive character. There is just so much going on. In 2016, I have a slight preference for the KV over the Cuvée Cathleen, which emerges from a separate part of the property. Durell Vineyard Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 2013

Possibly the most age-worthy of the Kistler Chards. Other 2013s are ready to go, but this Durrell remains tightly wound... still there’s enough stone fruit and almond flowers to make this delicious now. A great cool-weather Chard, the oak and toasted hazelnuts will warm you up. — 14 days ago

Trenton Roadhouse Chardonnay 2010

Very little fruit on this, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing at 8-9yrs old. This is definitely on the more rich and powerful side of the spectrum. Roasted lemon, honeyed papaya and sea salt aromatics. Savory on the palate...burnt popcorn kernel, cashew and a mineral driven finish. — a month ago
