Really well made wine. Very oaky, toasty, buttery as is the mistletoe style. Not my kind but really fine wine.

Wow. I bought this is college. Thought hat it was shot so it was just lying around the cellar. First bottle was DOA. Or so I thought. Left it in the decanter and moved on. So I opened a second bottle. KILLA. So creamy but still vibrant with a core of acidity and a bit of minerality. The typical Kistler corn oil nose as there but so many more layers. Worth laying some down for longer. Came back to the first bottle 2 days later. It was just a touch oxidized but it was maybe more interesting than "better" bottle. Wild experience especially for a Cali chard.

Delicious, rich, but not overly oaked. Lots of lush tropical fruit and softness, but fortunately for Burgundy fans, still some mineral and acidity. Better than past vintages of Trenton Roadhouse, but I still prefer some of the other Kistler vineyards.

Roasted nuts and vanilla but nothing overpowering. Impeccable balance.

2012 Durrell is ready to drink in 2017. Balanced construction, but could use a bit more fruit.

Classic chardonnay from Russian River. Notes of green apple and vanilla with a long full finish.
