Nose is graphite.
Palate - silky texture. Graphite blended with blackberry.
Let’s see how this develops.
As this opens it’s definitely a graphite blackberry melange kind of thing. Good grip. Quite focused. Cerebral in a sense. Like this silky almost lilac extract on the palate.
If I had this blind I’d guess st jo on the nose and cote rotie on the palate.

This is really special. Very delicate rubi robe, elegant aromas of cherries and asian spices plus a touch of crushed flowers, fresh, balanced, medium bodied and long. Great now but will evolve still for perhaps 3 to 5 years. Hard to resist ! — 5 days ago
Absolutely delicious Syrah. Decanted for 5 hours which was a good call. Very deep red verging on purple in the glass. A ton of beautiful dark red fruit, some olives, some meat, but mostly just deep dark fruit. After the decant the tannins are really very seamless. Very nice acid on the finish. Absolutely perfect with a beautiful rack of lamb for Easter dinner. — 17 days ago

Very composed and subtle Syrah from Northern Rhone with some age on it. Burnt red on the eye. Lots of black cherry on the nose, some blood and only a hint of white pepper. The mouthfeel is elegant; full bodied, medium alcohol with powerful black fruit but equally powerful with earth, iron, soft tannings, and a decadent finish. Amazing find. Vigneron: Natasha Chave. If you don’t know who she is, you probably should. — 11 days ago
