Day 2... Smokey, sagebrush, herbal note are lifted and upfront. Plum, tobacco, and blackcherry show with time in the glass. Dark fruit dominates on the palate with a sweet cream, bramble berry midpalate. Spice and clove notes too. Finish is dry, shows a little heat, and persists with moderate tannins. This has integrated some, but could spend 5+ more years in the bottle easy. Drink now with a decant. — 5 days ago
17.5. 20 year tawny is very special, and this one is luscious without being heavy. — 12 hours ago
Easy to drink, light, tangy without being rude. Slightly effervescent. — 7 days ago
Nice, easy drinking summer white — 7 days ago
Duoro red blend from old vines. Takes about 45 mins to fully open up. Dark as night with a complex nose. On the pallet it feels rich and complex with an unpredictable finesse and long finish reminiscent of dried plum, vanilla, and a certain earthyness.
Absolutely the best wine I’ve ever tasted from Portugal. I’d say drink up, this is extremely enjoyable at the moment. — 19 days ago
