See previous note from a year ago. White florals citrus aromas and a touch of talc. Interestingly the kerosene aromas from the previous tasting seem to have diminished somewhat. The palate has medium plus intensity and excellent length. Certainly The Florita is one of the more famous vineyards in Australia for Riesling where John Vickery crafted excellent long living Rieslings under the Leo Buring label decades ago. I remember having some amazing 1973 Leo Buring DWC Rieslings in the 1980s. — 3 months ago
Notes of Toffee Apple initially - a little reductive to begin with. Pale dirty crimson - transparent in parts - quite Burgundian in colour. A light to medium weight palate but Medium intensity. Like a good Village, verging on Premier Cru. Interesting and tasty but needing about 4 or 5 years more to develop complexity. Absolutely delightful. Tantalizing on the tongue. Would get this bottle again. — 2 months ago
I was really pushing it’s phenolic quality by stretching this strained vintage to 11 years… Yet it stood up and was rather elegant at first pour. Of course it broke down for day two, but it was wonderful to taste the Terroir that Jim so passionately labors to Express — 3 months ago
Extremely smooth and easy drinking Would buy again — 4 months ago
The first day of opening this wine it was harsh and stuffy. I was not impressed. However, on the second day, this wine opened up and became very light and flavorful - a juicy Pinot Noir of jammy cherry and berries. — a year ago
