Insane how delicious this wine still was! Would've never guessed anymore than ten years old if tasted blind

Cork broke in half on its way out, so initially some musty cardboard aromas, but it seems to be blowing off and the palate and finish are still quite structured and rich, so I don’t think it’s corked, long finish, needs some aeration.

Red and dark fruit aromas, very tannic mountain fruit structure still, even after 25 years, long finish, just a lovely Merlot, and a great tribute to 2 wonderful people — Barbara and Jim Richards!!

Some oak and just a touch of an herbal aroma, still pretty solid structure, balanced, long finish, should be excellent with the prime rib. Kudos to Jim and Barbara for this lovely old Merlot.
