Côte du Py Vieilles Vignes Morgon Gamay 2009

Lovely aged red-fruited old vine Gamay, ripe vintage, but more freshness than many 2009 Beaujolais I’ve had the past few years, lingering finish, very fine! — 20 hours ago

@Doug Powers - Are you having issues, as I am, having notes uploaded to the general feed?

@Tom Casagrande, yes I am, for the last few weeks when I post a wine, it seems like it doesn’t show up until the next day in my feed, even though it’s in my account (so to speak)??

Côte du Py Morgon Gamay

This wine is a mouthful. Just exploded in the mouth of minerals, iron, cherry/ raspberry and some dusty tannins to close. Keeps evolving. Prob should have decanted it from the start. — 2 months ago

Vaulorent Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay 2019

One of the best Chablis I’ve had in the past 10 years or so. Amazing. And so classical. Old school green-tinged crystalline gold color. Nose features barely ripe apple fruit, intensely brothy, wet sea shell limestone minerality. I could sniff this forever. So vibrant and alive on the palate. Packed with flavor but shot-through with minerality that freshens it. Nice acids. Slight bitterish note in the long finish. Walks that tightrope of intensity with counterbalancing energy. Vaulorent really ought to be a grand cru. Heck, it’s on the same damn hill! — 5 months ago

A little more American-chardonnay-ish than I expected — on the savoury side. 89. — 2 months ago
