Custardy nose with lots of confectionery aromas and gras. Lovely sea breeze minerlity and amazing depth. So good. Palate is rich and oily but with great freshness and opulent pit fruits like peach, apricot and tangerine. Creamy and ripe but so sappy and pure. Long, oily finish. Exceptional. — 6 months ago
Smells like black tea infused dirt.
With some black cherries and crushed black rock. There’s some leather musty funk as it warms/opens.
The palate is crisp, black, medium weight, just slight tannins give a lil’ tug. A nice snap of acidity on the back, dark finish after a full mouth. Deep red to black fruits, not rich, but appropriate in inner mouth weight. Long mineral finish.
With a slight cool, it’s delicious on a smokey* night. A fine example of mid tier( maybe slightly higher) vielles vignes Morgon.

Let it sit for almost 10 years and decided to finally open. Full bodied, and great aroma. — 8 days ago
2020 vintage. Medium body. Pleasantly oily without being unctuous. Oodles of stone fruit and citrus with that anticipated and desired mineral underbelly. Finishes lighter and cleaner on the end palate than the experience thru the start, then mid-palate. Butcher’s prep. Mostly lean but just enough fat to stick with this cut consistently. In a word-revelatory. 4.10.24. — 15 days ago
