Hello Tannis!! Orange hue on the rim, Garnett in the center, high viscosity, wine tears confirmed this was high ABV. I got flowers quickly followed by spices, coffee, wet forest floor and tar on the nose. On the palate, the tannins hit massively and high acidity leave you salivating. This bottle could easily see another 10 yrs. Wish I could get the perfume a tad bit more..would have been so amazing! Nonetheless, this was a serious and complex wine. — 4 years ago

Somehow whenever I know that I am drinking a wine to young I see @David T scolding me! I do highly respect his insights and the plan was to wait three more years!
But the realization that I was going to need to sacrifice a bottle; that I can Hopefully replace came late this afternoon.
Most likely we are going to be saying goodbye to our hyperthyroidism kitty " Patience" tomorrow. It has been a long battle and she would have turned 15 July 31st. So some self medicating is warranted! 😓.
Although this wine is delicious even young! Ripe Bing Cherries...licorice...bubble gum..tea leaves and moist forest floor! Delicious wine! I will try to obtain another bottle and let it age longer! — 4 years ago

Hello lover. Chenin forever!! Spring in a bottle. Green, fresh. Bright. Perfectly ripe pear and yellow apple. Drank 3/4 of the bottle solo one night while watching MAR on IGLive and, well, it’s 13.5ABV so that was a woops evening. 🤪 — 4 years ago

Finally getting around to trying this vintage of an old favorite. Interesting aromas of smoked meat, black olives, dried herbs and violets. Dark plum, black cherry and blackberry fruit on the palate with additional notes of pepper spice, orange zest and minerals. Long and savory finish. Tastes very similar to Northern Rhône Syrah. Bold with Medium-plus body. Glad we waited. Thanks for sharing, John P. — 22 days ago
