If it didn’t have such a weird name I probably wouldn’t have bought it, hefty decant needed but 😳👍🏼

Showing beautifully from barrel and not disappointing from bottle, the 2012 Hommage a Francois Durif No. 1 (I reviewed this last year as the Petite Sirah) is a blend of 100% Petite Sirah that's certainly one of the finest examples of this variety coming out of California. Inky colored and a big, voluptuous and decadent beauty, it offers terrific notes of blackcurrants, plum, toasted spice, leather, graphite and espresso. Full-bodied, concentrated, rich and yet always balanced and light on its feet, it has sensational purity of fruit, a big, rich mid-palate and tons of sweet tannin that coat the palate and lengthen the finish. I wouldn't open another bottle for 2-3 years, but it will have 15-20 years of longevity. — 9 days ago
2016. 35€. Muy complejo. Potente, olor cuerpo, recuerdo. La verdad es que hace honor a su fama. — 3 days ago
Great CdP.
Intense purple color with a little Garnet.
Pleasure of aroma. Black and red fruits, a little plum, a little seasoning, a little candy .. lovely.
Medium to full body, powerful, round, floral, fruity, medium tannins, so is the acidity, long and delightful finish.
A delicious wine, paired with chocolate and heartfelt wishes for the new year.
I loved it

Aligoté is a light bodied white that often ends up unfairly lost in Chardonnay’s shadow. In Côte Chalonnaise, in a quaint village named Bouzeron, just south of the Côte de Beaune, Aligoté has its very own appellation where yields are limited in order to enhance flavors, acidity and overall quality. — 21 hours ago
nez séduisant. attaque ronde et fruitée restant fraîche, un peu d acidité en milieu de bouche. belle finale — 3 days ago
For the Costco going types, this was a great find. Really enjoyed it. Medium bodied, super soft. Had it with a shepherds pie with ground lamb. Stood up well to a heavy meal. Nice one! — 7 days ago
Matt Lasater

tastes similar to a Rhône white. Creamy, herbal, almost anise and mint, deep yellow fruits. Enjoyable, but balance of phenolic and chemical maturity seems a little off. Im sure classicist would hate it, but it’s snapshot of the vintage scored points for me. — 8 days ago
