Peaking, Wounderful velvety mouthful, hitting all of the right spots — a day ago
Procured via auction. Have had bad bottles before but cork looked solid (used Durand to take no chances).
This bottle was excellent and the wine developed nicely in the glass over about 1.5 hours. Kept in my ETO.
Nice black and dark fruits with a little muscle. Oak integrated and not overpowering.
Lovely pairing with steak. — 11 days ago

See my prior notes. For a gnarly vintage, few complaints here. — 11 days ago
Wow. This this is everything you could want it a wine. It’s big and bold. The aroma pops right out of the glass and fills the room. My son who I usually go to for commentary on the nose said there was no need for me to pass the glass. He said it was liked you open up a huge bottle of fruit punch. The aromatics were amazing and the taste on the palate was just as big. Delicious and a long finish to bring it home. This was great. — a month ago

This has softened considerably since my last bottle several years ago. Nose is complex, with earth, cedar, cigar box, and an incense-like note. In the mouth, it’s rich but medium-bodied. The tannins that were so prominent a few years ago have significantly resolved. Entering (finally) its drinking window. — 4 days ago
