Light straw , very young looking . Constant very fine perlage . Quite closed at first then crushed rocks , lemon peel , ginger , white flowers , brioche . On the palate good richness and intensity , lemon , orange rind , buttered bread , touch of roast nuts . Very fine mineral tinged , intense finish . This needs time and will improve over the next 10 years or so and last well a further 5-10 . A good follow up to the 2014 , this shows more backward and will take even longer to reach its peak. Perhaps a little less detailed and precise than the very mineral 2014 but that might just be a question of needing more time in bottle. — a month ago

+1 hour decant(some fine/chunky sediment). A splendid crimson red color. On the nose: wonderful bouquet with plum, stewed meat, cassis, sweet tobacco, funky earth, leather. Taste: silky, finessed, balanced wine with red berries/plum, coffee grounds, cedar, tobacco, and a nice peppery pencil lead long finish. YUM! Pure class in a glass. — a month ago
Beautifully deep claret with tight tannins that required a good 1-2 hours of decanting to unlock the wine’s texture. The blend is darker fruit with an outwardly apparent Cabernet Franc element that brings violets on the nose and blackberry and brambles on the palette. At or near its peak with a lot of longevity remaining. — 2 months ago

Decanted for 3 hours before returning to the bottle prior to dinner. The 2008 pours a deep garnet color a with near opaque; medium+ with moderate staining and some signs of fine sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of dark plums, purple flowers, some green bell pepper, tobacco, graphite, leather, mint, and soft baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannins that are mostly integrated and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. A classy, perfectly matured Pomerol that was a lovely pairing with a Tomahawk ribeye. Drink now through 2033. Thanks Andy! — 19 days ago
