Love this wine but I will admit 2020 is not as strong as other vintages. Nose is lovely with violets, dark cranberries, berry fruit and lots of smoke and minerals. Palate is lush but also had a major mineral spines Good freshness and purity but the heat of 2020 is showing in that it’s not hot but it’s also not as focused as it could be. Maybe air will help.

When one considers the quality of the 2020 vintage in Bordeaux, it doesn’t seem like a stretch that Cahors would be strong as well. That being said, the former need a lot of time because many are all knees and elbows
