Our last evening in Florence — 11 hours ago
Spice, fruit, earth, Oak all jump out of the glass. Layers and weight abound. A gorgeous tension supports the wine and leaves an ample finish. — 7 days ago

I've got a love-hate relationship with Oregon Pinot Noir, and now that I've figured out what I love oh, I'm going to start buying these when I see them! Very grippy, full throttle, fruit in your face Pinot Noir. But it does not go to a jammy or generic or metallic, almost watered down side. This, my friends, is Pinot Noir. Roasted Bing cherry, a little bit spicy, a little bit dirty. Very elegant and round all the way through out with a nice pucker on the finish. Kept coming back to this one more so than the Aubert Ritchie 10. Still a ton of life left. Really nice Pinot. — 2 months ago
Last night’s “Evening With Krug” event, where they officially released their 2006 vintage. Beautiful evening with many different Krug offerings paired with a delicious meal.
Since the ‘06 was being released, they wanted to also pour the ‘06 base Edition. I preferred this over the 167, mainly because it seemed more Krug like. Slightly oxidative, toasty, lots of sweet toffee and nougat aromatics. Fresh honeyed pastry, ginger, and such a decadent profile on the palate. This is going to get even better, and is such a great buy...especially when these Grande Cuvée bottles have 88% reserve wine in them going back to the early ‘90s. — 6 days ago
