Normally Friday is Pizza and Pinot but tonight we decided to do this Chianti Classico from Borgo Scopeto from the lovely Elisabetta Gnudi. — 4 years ago

Tried ‘14 & ‘15 together. The name of the estate comes from "Ca' Pazzo", shown on ancient maps. Caparzo is owned by Elisabetta Gnudi Angelini, she also owns Altesino. Deep Ruby with berry fruit aromas with cedar, herbs and smoke, aged for 2 years on oak. On the palate cherry, plum & cranberry flavors, with leather, cacao, spice and tobacco notes. Lively acidity, fine approachable tannins, long ending with spicy oak finish. ‘15 a bit better! — 6 years ago
リンゴ、アプリコット、生姜、ウィスキーっぽいニュアンスも。
オレンジ感強めで、綺麗なワインではなくて、クセ強めだけど旨味もある。
オレンジワインとしては最高コスパかも。 — 6 years ago

Deep Ruby with berry fruit aromas with cedar, herbs and smoke, aged for 2 years on oak. On the palate sour cherry, plum & radpberry flavors, with leather, cacao, spice and tobacco notes. Lively acidity, fine slightly drying tannins, long ending with spicy herb oak finish. Nice, drinks well, decant! — 7 months ago
We had it a Lucali, a pizza restaurant in Miami. Medium dark rubi robe, nose of spices and black fruits. Medium bodied, fresh and with civilised tannins. Good stuff for the price and worked wonders with the excellent pizza. — a year ago
Such a hard wine to get hold of this was
Not necessarily expensive, but it has such a long story behind that i can't even start
If you know Elisabetta Foradori this guy, mr Zierock, was her first husband and probably not a well mannered either
He was a strong biodynamic Steiner believer for my understanding and i truly thought this wine was going to be just off for some silly reason
On the other hand i find still a crisp fruit, there definitely been skin contact, such a chalky mineral that emphasises the ginger, the smokiness, the honeycomb and the very long after taste
Better when room temperature
I just cant believe that the legend of the Alps mountains has actually delivered so well
Just hope we could all think twice before putting anything else than fermented grape juice into winemaking
A very special bottle i had been holding on for such a long time..a real treasure..exciting emotion!! — 5 years ago
This is a incredible wine consider its costs and quality! It’s 24 years old and still rocking, and ok it’s one thing to mention I’m for years in love with the winemaker. Those of us who had the privilege to met Elisabetta nows I’m right with my love for her. She’s a star in the region and is the maker of some great white and red wines. This Sono is made of 100% Sangiovese and is a clear and pure wine, it’s wonderful matured and very rich of dark fruit and some dried meat. I’m so surprised this wine survived so well and still has years ahead. Give it time and air and you will be rewarded with a great wine. 94 points and 1 point because I love her! — 5 years ago
