Présentation: Ce Morellino di Scansano Riserva 2021 de Fattoria Le Pupille est l'expression parfaite du terroir toscan de la Maremme. Produit principalement à partir de Sangiovese (appelé localement Morellino), ce vin reflète l'expertise et la passion de cette propriété emblématique dirigée par Elisabetta Geppetti. Dégustation: Visuel : Robe rubis profond aux reflets grenat, brillante et limpide, avec une belle concentration. Nez : Bouquet intense et complexe, mêlant des arômes de cerises noires, de mûres et de prunes, accompagnés de notes d'épices (poivre noir, clou de girofle), de tabac et d'une légère touche balsamique. Des nuances subtiles de sous-bois et de cuir apparaissent à l'aération. Bouche : Attaque franche et généreuse, dévoilant un bel équilibre entre une structure tannique élégante et une acidité vivifiante caractéristique du Sangiovese. Le milieu de bouche révèle des saveurs de fruits rouges et noirs bien mûrs, rehaussées par des notes d'herbes méditerranéennes et d'épices douces. La finale est longue, harmonieuse et légèrement minérale. Note personnelle: Je suis particulièrement impatient(e) de pouvoir déguster le Saffredi, autre cuvée prestigieuse de Fattoria Le Pupille. Ce vin d'exception, considéré comme l'un des Super Toscans les plus remarquables, promet une expérience gustative encore plus intense et complexe que ce magnifique Morellino di Scansano Riserva. — 2 days ago

Absolutely baller Super Tuscan. Opulent nose, with a palate that makes you want more. Rich black sun soaked fruit with deep tobacco flavor. While still young and a little tannic, time is on its side with a couple of decades of drinkiblity.  — 3 years ago

The name of the estate comes from "Ca' Pazzo", shown on ancient maps. Caparzo is owned by Elisabetta Gnudi Angelini, she also owns Altesino. Deep Ruby with berry fruit aromas with cedar, herbs and smoke, aged for 2 years on oak. On the palate cherry, plum & cranberry flavors, with leather, cacao, spice, herbs and tobacco notes. Lively acidity, fine approachable tannins, long ending with spicy mineral oak finish. — 3 years ago

Such a hard wine to get hold of this was
Not necessarily expensive, but it has such a long story behind that i can't even start
If you know Elisabetta Foradori this guy, mr Zierock, was her first husband and probably not a well mannered either
He was a strong biodynamic Steiner believer for my understanding and i truly thought this wine was going to be just off for some silly reason
On the other hand i find still a crisp fruit, there definitely been skin contact, such a chalky mineral that emphasises the ginger, the smokiness, the honeycomb and the very long after taste
Better when room temperature
I just cant believe that the legend of the Alps mountains has actually delivered so well
Just hope we could all think twice before putting anything else than fermented grape juice into winemaking
