The best one so far! — 9 years ago
Very lovely, heavyweight and excessive in a good way. I found it a bit too hot and unbalanced, Schloss Johannisberg eiswein from the same vintage showed much much better. Thanks again @Paul Wasserman — 9 years ago
A gorgeous lifted nose. Sweet sharp apricot. Peach. Floral notes. Sharp, refined and zippy with great mouthfeel and a long finish — 4 years ago
Nectar of the gods. Apricot. Honey still fresh. Wow. — 4 years ago
Paired beautifully with funky gooey cheese, bright acid with floral and honey notes 🌼🐝 — 9 years ago
Dark marmalade color. Intense nose. This is incredibly dense and pure. On the palate an oily intense and poised wine. Very good — 9 years ago

@Kay Delectable this is the eiswein. Paired with apple pie Alto Adige style (with figs). Heavenly combination. — 4 years ago
Avec du homard
Très bon
Assez sucré — 4 years ago
Holy crap this is beautiful. No botrytis - just pure, crystalline tropical fruit. Astounding. — 8 years ago
Got to taste an 07 and 09, the latter seems to have a bit more sweetness. Golden, ripe fruit, citrus and stone fruit aromas. The palate shows ripe apricots and sweet orange flavors, savory and balanced. Intense lingering finish, nice. Sip to make it last. — 9 years ago

A 1998 M-C should tell you all you need to know about this wine. A legendary vintage for this producer. An explosive nose of tropical fruit along with honey..
In the mouth all of the nose plus citrus and cinnamon. Acidity behaving like a life preserver, just crazy.
