The Basic QbA Riesling from a good grower should always be a very good wine that also ages well. Case in point here. This 13-year old has another decade of aging potential. I believe the vineyard village here is Wehlen. The fruit is fresh and would be convincing as a feinherb, and the balanced structure is appropriately firm. — a year ago

Graacher Himmelreich Spätlese Riesling 2018

Mild but full of flavor with mineral, green apple, and nectarine. Lightly sweet but holds up well to food. Screw top and fruity, an easy on the go picnic wine. — 2 months ago

— 6 months ago

So much for “classic” vintages. This silky-textured, Rubenesque beauty from a hot vintage offers tremendous enjoyment at 17+ years. Versatile with main course and dessert. — 3 months ago

This was a real sleeper: don’t remember how this got into my cellar, but it was absolutely stunning: deep dark golden colored w/giant blast of petrol which blew off revealing crazy orange marmalade, rich ripe apricot, peach, kiwi & guava, honey and butterscotch… couldn’t take our noses out of the glass. Silky smooth fattened up body w/typical Mosel rounded-off edges. Sluggish acidity but super flavorful on palate w/gorgeous finish - tiniest bit of RS. — 5 months ago
