Le Carillon de Rouget Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

2015 vintage. Beautiful nose, truffle galore. A delicious Pomerol, ready to drink. It would have been nice to taste the grand vin next to it, because sometimes you wonder if the second wine turns out to outperform the grand vin. — 7 hours ago

Cuvée Marguerite Côtes Catalanes Blanc Viognier Muscat 2024

Fresh, funky, and fun. Effervescent. Cider meets IPA vibes. First time trying this much talked about producer. Went great with a mezze plate at Al Badawi. — 7 months ago

Bourgogne Aligoté 2018

Subtle with some wet stones, minty herbs, a shy hint of orchard apple. A whiff of mushrooms undergrowth. Quite cool and with nice energy.
Nice mouthfeel with juicy, vibrant acidity, a mineral, salty, energetic backbone and almost a hint of tannin.
Savoury, herby, juicy, fresh. Excellent with some appetizers, so food friendly.
Light be a bit austere for sipping alone, delicious nonetheless!

Hommage à "Marguerite" Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Chardonnay 2017

On first tasting this wine it was noticeably saline and mineral/gravel on the palate. Also notes of citrus and white stone fruits. Oak influence is subdued - matured in 350 litre oak barrels. Overall a great balance between austerity and opulence. Points off for a ridiculously heavy bottle. — 2 months ago

Cuvée Marguerite Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Chardonnay 2016

Lemon Yellow in colour. Aromatics of citrus, apple and white daisies (Barb). Very delicate on the palate with those aromatics of citrus and apple coming through with minerality. A touch of salinity to finish off. Like most PYCM bottles this is way too heavy. — 7 months ago
