Been exploring a lot of younger Domaine Chevillon over this last year. But didn't write any notes. Doing that now. The 2017 Roncières is reliably wonderful. Bright florals, red fruit and delicate spice bouquet. Medium bodied, ample but focused fruit, with some acidity on the palate. Some might react that the fruit profile is a bit straightforward, but I think this lends this wine a lovely sort of simplicity and character on the palate is derived from fine grained tannins. Gently acidic and refined finish. — 6 days ago
I don’t drink CDP when I do I will drink this. This is a pure Grenache via the Greek of divine origins. Nose is just gorgeous herbs. So complex and so detailed. A gorgeous plum and berry fruit. So intense yet refined and delicate. Heavenly nose. 9.8. Just stunning. Palate is juicy, complex and so so so stoney. Some heat as that is what is part of the picture here. But that gets better integrated as this cuvee airs. The nose off the bat is just an experience. Smell it while you let it breathe. Amazing sweetness, structure and tannins. Long. Elegant. Wonderful. — 6 days ago
Very good value! I enjoyed this with a homemade Filet steak with wine and wild mushroom reduction along with grilled asparagus. Fantastic!!! — 15 days ago
Without doubt, for the loot, Duband is my favorite producer in Burgundy.
This has relaxed and is now ready to drink. Subtly, elegance and grace define the core characteristics of this superb pinot.
The nose is understated, but still presents cedar, smoke and ripe cherries. Great, structured mid palate. Tannins are still prominent. Cinnamon notes and vibrant acidity bring home the excellent finish. This still needs more time in the bottle, and I predict further improvement in the long run. — 9 days ago
