At Cucina Enoteca Del Mar. A stunning wine! Cardamom nose. In the glass leather - touch orange zest . Definitely Elderberries - graphite and a potpourri of spices with the main component being white pepper??? Burgundy does seldom get better than this!!!! Drink now this is at its peak. A pricy proposition. Now just 5 bottles left in Southern CA I think. Addendum still excellent 48 hours later. So decanting can’t hurt. — 3 days ago
Found this to be drinking quite well, tannins were integrating nicely, distinctive tertiary character has taken form, and the wine carried a gracefulness without loosing any rustic charm. Dried brambly fruit, wet leaves, dried leather, sous bois, dried flowers, and almost this parched landscape quality, like high desert or chaparral sort of note. Very intriguing and brought lots of joy to a simple French meal. Procured in FR, not a KLWM import — 13 days ago
Hay, rose petals, cherry, nice classical burgundy nose. The palate is very nice, on the sweet side of burgundy with a strong acid backbone, some nice cherry blossoming all around, a soft and welcoming touch on the border, gentle tannins and a looonggg finish with fruit. You gotta love the style but if you do, this is great. I love it — 12 days ago
Lovely intense medium cherry lipstick nose. Palate is crunchy cherries. Delicious. Perfect balance. Amazing freshness. Stay tuned ... this will change as it opens.
As it opens the nose is dense perfume. Really concentrated. Almost like a gas transforming into a liquid in your nostrils.
Palate is amazing. Terrific texture. Crazy internal aromatics. Palate coating beyond belief.
90 minutes in this is spectacularly delicious.
This vaporizes chevillon so bad it’s not funny. Cant believe this is a village wine. Wow.
Tanins are still a bit chunky. My guess is that they need another 2-3 years to smooth out.
