Dinner of the year (so far, it’s only April!) and a wonderful Burgundy. All the classic ingredients…red fruits, deep concentration, light yet full bodied 👌🏼 — 21 days ago
“La Colombiere.” Pnp magic. Love the MG 19’s. It’s so obvious Vosne, wafting from the glass with a captivating perfume of red berries, rose petals and spices with an incredibly velvety palate. Just so giving and it was even better for lunch the next day! — 2 months ago
2017 vintage. Decanted, chilled down to upper-50's and tasted after one hour. Light-medium body. A small amount of barnyard funk that blew off quickly. Penultimate bottle. In a state of transition but showing well. Judicious fruit along with softening tannins. Silk pajamas. The Mongeard style runs a little lighter but results in plenty of delicate beauties. This one is no exception. 3.30.24. — a month ago
Crisp, lime, mineral saline finish maybe a bit one dimensional at first but opens up showing nice depth, and some interesting herbal notes after getting some air — 2 months ago
The Echezeaux journey continues….Grand Cru, slightly lighter, more delicate, red fruits, hint of pepper, even some vanilla/toffee 🤷🏼♂️
In summary, really good 👍🏼 — 17 days ago
2017: Well-rated, very good CDP that features darker stewed fruit flavors and a good amount of port and earth nuances. While it suffers a typical CDP lack of acidity and vibrancy at this stage the fruit concentration makes this an above-average bottling and complements the growing complexity. Good value at $52 (VR). — a month ago
